Today Laramie and I took the day off and took Parker up to the Minnesota Zoo. For Mother's Day, Parker had given me a card that stated he wanted to spend the entire day with me and we were going to have breakfast at Caribou and then head up to the zoo. Even do a little shopping after. We had been watching the forecast for the week and decided that Thursday was going to be the day we went and boy did we pick the perfect day to go. It was absolutely beautiful out.
We got to the zoo around 11 am. It was a beautiful day and we were excited to see all the animals. We first head over to the grizzly bears.
All three of them were sleeping but it was fun to watch them because they are so BIG.
Parker was real impressed by the sleeping grizzly bears :)
Parker enjoyed just being outside. I think he was more intrigued by the people then he was the animals. He takes after his mom and her love for people watching. Haha.

Since the grizzly bears were sleeping early in the day, we decided to come back to them to see if they were up and about. Sure enough, one of them was having some fun in the water.
We also got to see some monkeys. There was a super cute baby monkey that clung pretty close to its mama.
We then headed inside to see all the tropical attractions. We saw the komodo dragon, flamingos and penguins.
We also went to the aquarium which had sharks and sea turtles. Laramie and Parker enjoyed that area.
We had a great day and Parker enjoyed his first trip to the zoo. It was a huge success!
After the zoo we grabbed some food at a restaurant in Apple Valley and then went and did some shopping. It was a perfect day!
